Dysevolution: We May Never Be the Same Again

A wake-up call on chronic illness, lifestyle and the de-evolution of modern humans. Available in paperback and ebook.

Dysevolution discusses the de-evolution of humans due to lifestyle, and looks at chronic illness and how social norms are accelerating its impact. As we advance as a species, our ability to diagnose, treat, cure, manage and hopefully prevent becomes fundamental to life, death and evolution.

This book is not a how-to guide. It is a wake-up call, written to help distinguish fact from fiction and champion you to change.

If, for the most part, we are here because of our lifestyle choices, then changing those choices while staying positive will not on its own resolve the problem we have inadvertently created.

Change takes time and acceptance, so while we wait, other avenues must be explored. Part of acceptance is understanding: being engaged, understanding the now and the potential for tomorrow, seeking the right advice and, more than anything else, becoming an active participant in your healthcare journey.

What the book covers

Drawing on clinical medicine, evolutionary biology and healthcare systems insight, Dysevolution reframes chronic disease not as isolated conditions but as the cumulative result of environmental, behavioural and systemic mismatch. It is written for patients, clinicians and policymakers who want to better understand longevity, chronic illness and the need to redesign healthcare around sustained human health rather than symptom management.
